It has been brought to my attention that there is a new breed (?) of church that is very popular with our young people. After attending such a meeting (I can't call it a church service)I returned home shaking my head. I waited through the meeting for some sort of sermon. There was none. I waited for the Gosspel to be taught. It didn't happen. I came away from this trying to figure out just what their message was. I spoke to an old friend (Baptist) who said she calls them the "Feel Good Churches."
No matter how much hand waving and hymn singing that is done in this meeting, if the Lord's name isn't spoken... he probably isn't there.
Is this the CHURCH that is taking the place of the ONE CHURCH in CHRIST? Young people still seem to have the need for a spiritual experience in their life. They go to these places looking, but there is no Message. I have a great fear...
